Day Trip to St. John’s – USVI
During our trip to St. Thomas, (read about it here) we were also lucky enough to visit St. John. I beg you, if you are staying on St. Thomas, you MUST plan a day trip to St. John. Heck, I would even tell you to skip St. Thomas altogether and just stay on St. John! St. John is absolutely stunning, seriously the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. If you stay in St. Thomas you can take a passenger or car ferry to St John. We opted to take the Big Red Barage car ferry which is about a thirty-minute ride. I recommend going this route; renting a car and…

We are lucky enough to have two very dear friends that live in Ithaca and invite us to visit them regularly! Here are a few of my favorite activities: Boating! Ithaca sits on Cayuga Lake, which is the longest lake in the finger lake region so get thyself on the water. You can even boat to wineries!

A Review of the Ritz Carlton hotel in Bal-Harbour (Miami) Florida
For our anniversary this year, @MJRuskers and I did a whirlwind tour of Florida—even with a day trip to Cuba! First stop, Miami! Well actually, Bal Harbour. We stayed for two nights and honestly never really left the resort. Truly, it was incredible and we didn’t need to! This is one of the smaller Ritz Carlton properties we have stayed on. They only have two rooms per floor and one restaurant. Sadly, it was raining when we arrived so we just meandered around the hotel. First stop our room. Amazing!! We had a suite with 1.5 bedrooms and a full kitchen, but the standout was bar far this tub! I mean……

The Best Place to Eat in Cancun
Cancun, and the hotel zone in particular, is not exactly known for its authenticity when it comes to food or culture, but that does not stop me from digging for some. Guess what!? It paid off! I found El Galeon del Caribe which is located in the hotel zone. It is probably the most authentic restaurant in Cancun. Now, it is somewhat hard to find. It’s located at kilometer marker 19.4, and there is no sign. There is Just a small parking lot and a thatched roof. We walked in, and much to my delight, we were the only tourists. I knew we were going to be in for a treat!…

The Best Things to do in Cancun, Mexico
This was our third time in Cancun and I am convinced we discovered the absolute two best excursions this go-around! The first thing we did was join a jet boat tour (Jungle Tours) where you drive your own boat to an amazing snorkeling spot. Don’t worry if you are not an avid boater because this excursion is absolutely perfect if you are a beginner. The boat is small, simple to maneuver and the guide is nearby. We completely lucked out because we ended up being the only ones on this excursion making it a private tour!! The snorkeling was also great. Too often, we have gotten stuck on tours that…

A Review of the Ritz Carlton Cancun, Mexico
The Ritz Carlton Cancun is located in the hotel zone in Cancun, Mexico. You are in the heart of the action minus the spring breakers –win! The hotel is beautiful from the moment you walk in, with an exquisite lobby and attentive service. Be warned, this hotel is on the pricey side. So, we cashed in some points and only stayed one night. It was so worth it! This is the 9th Ritz Carlton property I have stayed in and it is the nicest by far. We are loyalty members and (finally) were granted a complimentary upgrade. The negative of the Ritz Carlton credit card is that upgrades rarely happen despite…
