A Review of the Ritz Carlton Cancun, Mexico
The Ritz Carlton Cancun is located in the hotel zone in Cancun, Mexico. You are in the heart of the action minus the spring breakers –win! The hotel is beautiful from the moment you walk in, with an exquisite lobby and attentive service.
Be warned, this hotel is on the pricey side. So, we cashed in some points and only stayed one night. It was so worth it! This is the 9th Ritz Carlton property I have stayed in and it is the nicest by far. We are loyalty members and (finally) were granted a complimentary upgrade. The negative of the Ritz Carlton credit card is that upgrades rarely happen despite having the second highest tier status.
Anyway, this room was incredible!! It had 1.5 baths, a dining room, living room and a gigantic bedroom. But, the best part were the THREE balconies!
I did not want to leave!! As far as amenities, the hotel had a fitness center (though on the smaller side), two beautiful pools with complimentary sunscreen and easy beach access.
One thing to note is that this is not an all-inclusive property and drinks and food, although delicious, were costly. That said, there were some unique menu items that were fun to try, i.e. Lime Soup! Overall, we loved this hotel and would highly recommend it!
