The Best Things to do in Cancun, Mexico

This was our third time in Cancun and I am convinced we discovered the absolute two best excursions this go-around! The first thing we did was join a jet boat tour (Jungle Tours) where you drive your own boat to an amazing snorkeling spot.

Donโ€™t worry if you are not an avid boater because this excursion is absolutely perfect if you are a beginner. The boat is small, simple to maneuver and the guide is nearby. We completely lucked out because we ended up being the only ones on this excursion making it a private tour!! The snorkeling was also great. Too often, we have gotten stuck on tours that are too large to be enjoyable.  That was not the case here and we really enjoyed being able to swim around at our own pace.

The second thing we did was a cooking class at the Ritz Carlton hotel. Even @MJRuskers loved it.

Cooking classes are actually one of my favorite things to do when I travel. Being an avid, self-proclaimed foodie, it is a way to get an authentic taste of local cuisine. The chef will teach you some amazing cooking tips and, if you are lucky, give you recommendations of places to eat that are off the beaten path.

During this class, we cooked the most amazing Mexican street food, made a fun twist on the margarita and ate an incredibly prepared meal with delicious wine pairings. The chef and her team at the Ritz Carlton were the warmest and most welcoming hosts.

They were super patient when @mjruskers spilled the onions and I accidently sipped someone elseโ€™s drink. Whoops!!! Hands down, this might be one of the best meals I have eaten in my life!
