About
Welcome! You have stumbled upon my “private” travel diary!! But now that you are here, grab a glass of wine and feel free to snoop around a bit.
My husband and I are childfree by choice and refer to ourselves as DINKS! (Dual Income, No Kids). The kid-free lifestyle allows us to travel. A lot. It is my passion. I travel so much, I forget many of the restaurants, coffee shops, etc. that I visit and I wanted a place that contained a memory of all my experiences!
We all have our personal preference when we travel, so if you are basing any of your trips on my recommendations, keep this in mind about me:
Hotels:
My hubby spoiled me rotten and now I really appreciate a very nice hotel. Hotel service is extremely important to me; it really can make or break a vacation. Hotel musts include coffee pots in the room and a balcony.
Wine:
I will drink red, white and Rose (in the summer), but it must be dry. I know there is such a thing as dry Riesling, but it is STILL much too sweet for me. I prefer an oaked Chardonnay (Buttery) to a non-oaked (floral) Chardonnay, but only in small doses. My go-to wine is Justin Cabernet Sauvignon.
Food:
I am not a picky eater, but I dislike goat and ricotta cheese. I am also highly particular about seafood. If it has the faintest ‘fishy’ taste, I will not eat it. (This means it is not fresh!!) If you find a seafood recommendation on this blog, you can be assured it is top notch.
Childfree Friendly – You can read more here. (Instead of kid-friendly)!
For a variety of reasons we do not always seek out hotels or other venues that are adults-only, but I will rank the childfree friendliness in each of my posts.
👶 – The best of child-free locations – No kids allowed!!
👶👶 – Kids allowed, but there are adult areas or not many children present.
👶👶👶 – Children are present.
👶👶👶👶 – DANGER ZONE – Too many kids to be enjoyable
Anyway, welcome to my little world. I hope you enjoy this space as much as I do, and feel free to drop me a note. I love hearing from you!
Cheers!
